It’s pea season around here and I put some in the freezer this week. You shell them, boil them for 2 minutes, dunk in ice water then drain and freeze them in serving sizes. These are destined for creamy lemon pasta with peas next winter. I like to plan ahead!Advertisement

Did you use a vacuum sealer? We have one but we’ve only used it on meats so far. Is there anything different when doing veggies?

We also just use our vacuum sealer for meat. Those are Ziploc freezer bags.

Gorgeous! Wish we had more peas… they never seem to grow in abundance here.
