A Culinary Journey

Our vacation to the Mediterranean included a lot of culinary focus.  We went shopping with a few chefs, wandered around markets and sampled the local offerings.

A boulangerie in Cherbourg

Fromageries everywhere. We bought creamy Gorgonzola. YUM!

Such pretty pastries! I want to recreate them in minature.

The seafood was gorgeous

What’s not to love?

We had tapas a few times. This little spot is in Menorca

Gorgeous. We tried octopus twice on this trip.

Baby artichokes

We bought butter and ham baguette sandwiches more than once. Brought this one back onboard for our lunch

The food onboard was pretty dang good, too. Salad with apple cider vinaigrette.

Seafood boil.

Triple cream cheese with vanilla honey apricots

Lemon bar

Home Again

Been off enjoying the world again.  This time sailing between Dublin and St Maarten via a lovely time in the Mediterranean.  I last spent time in Paris when I was 15 years old and Brian has never been.  One of our first stops was the Louvre where we spent the entire day.  The line to see the Mona Lisa was hours long so we skipped it but enjoyed everything else.  The ceilings were magnificent!
