When we bought this property seven years ago, we planted a few things in anticipation of being able to enjoy them years down the road.  The grapevines are long gone and we’ve yet to enjoy an apple, peach, cherry, apricot or persimmon.  But… a few of the 75 spruce seedlings we dispersed across our property survived and we harvested our very own Christmas tree this year.  🙂  We planted about half of them in the pasture without thinking ahead.  Those were doing pretty well until our goats arrived.
