Very exciting, our grandson Dominic visited the farm for the first time this past weekend. Meet the sheep? Check. Meet the goats? Check. Sleep on the cat? Check.

More fun with miniature train scale figures. This time, we’ve got a zombie chasing a poor businessman. They are on top of a small thread spool if that helps gauge the size. I love the zombie cop graphics!
Cookie Monster

A few leftover oatmeal raisin cookies from the holidays went to the barn to see if anyone was interested. Obviously, they were a huge hit with our goats. Now I know what to get them for their birthdays.
Peas In January

We just started harvesting them. This variety is called Mister Big and I highly recommend them to anyone inclined to grow their own. So far, they’ve gone into a creamy pasta with peas. Yum!

Here’s what I made my son in law for Christmas… because I’m awesome. 🙂 It was made with HO 1:87 scale train people. It’s amazing what kind of figures you can find once you put your mind to searching. They have an entire Fun Fair line that’s discontinued, dang it. I did snag a few Fun Fair spectators on ebay and have had a ton of fun placing them in peril.
Chores Before Daylight

The greenhouse lit for watering before daybreak makes for an eerie scene. It looks like a UFO has landed in our yard.

The broccoli in our greenhouse is starting to produce. I have an awesome new cheese sauce recipe waiting for these to grow up.
Health Check Day

We checked all of our sheep and goats this morning for intestinal parasites and gave them a CD/T vaccine. Some were better behaved than others (Beatrice, I’m looking at you….). Everyone survived the ordeal, us included. Wrestling animals is real exercise.
