After a few dark winter months I’m so happy to be working on a project that just screams springtime! I made an Easter display for Alpha Stamps made from the new Fancy Wooden Coffee Table and Arch Top Facade Bookshelf – Short, filled with pastel treats, cookies and bunnies galore.

The new coffee table looks eerily similar to one we used to own from Ethan Allen. It comes with a lovely maple finish. Since I wanted to lighten things up a bit, I got out a sanding block to roughen the surface and gave it a few coats of light ivory acrylic paint.

The Arch Top Facade Bookshelf – Short is super simple to assemble. I put it together with a bit of tacky glue and painted it the same ivory shade as the table base. I added some cheerful background papers to the interior.
I made quite a few polymer clay cookies for this piece. Miniature cutters were used to make different springtime cookie shapes. The cookie surfaces were roughened using a toothbrush and then baked.

I gave the cookies a toasty fresh-baked appearance using different shades of brown pastel chalks applied to the surface with my finger.

White liquid Sculpey was tinted by scraping in a bit of pastel chalk with a knife blade and giving it a good mix.

For these flowers, I gave the centers a small dot of the liquid clay then baked it just enough for it to set.

That allowed me to add other colors to the petals without the colors running together.

A cookie bouquet was made by gluing flat toothpicks to the backs of a few finished cookies. Those got placed inside a Tiny Wooden Flower Pot painted pink and white along with a couple of the ¾ Inch Multicolored Lollipops . So cute!

To the left of the cookie bouquet on the bottom shelf you’ll find one of the new 1 Inch Oval Faux Wicker Baskets with 2 Handles holding a 3/4 Inch Rabbit watching over some dyed polymer clay eggs. Everything is nestled in Mini Easter Basket Grass.
Behind the basket sit the new Transparent Mini Nail Polish Bottles with the sweet little rabbit labels on the front.

To the right of the cookie bouquet I made a tray of bunny peeps made from Pastel Bunnies Polymer Clay slices sitting on one of the White Plastic Serving Dishes. To the right of the peeps are Tiny Resin Lollipops inside a Tiny Glass Jar with Lid.
I also included a decorated egg made from polymer clay sitting in a White Ceramic Mini Egg Cup.

I can’t resist working with a 1:12 Inch Gingerbread House and since Alpha Stamps carries so many cute polymer clay slices it was so much fun to make an Easter version.

After assembling and painting the house I used the Easter Eggs Polymer Clay Slice Mix for roof shingles. The egg shells from the Yellow Chicks Polymer Clay Slice Mix turned upside down made perfect awnings above the windows. I also used the Bright Flowers and Pastel Bunnies slice mixes.

Tiny treats on the middle shelf are displayed in Even Tinier Bottles. I added a decorative element to a couple of them with Pink and Turquoise Thin Looped Dresden Borders. Inside the first one are Multicolor Striped Candy Sticks. The pink version holds 2mm Matte Pastel Seed Bead Mix and the other holds Tiny Polymer Clay Marshmallow Sprinkles.

To fancy the bottles up I set aside the corks and made fancy lids from ball head straight pins glued inside metal spacer beads. The pin shafts were clipped off after the glue dried.

I formed a dark chocolate egg shape from brown polymer clay and after baking I added a few of the Bright Flowers slices for decoration and displayed it in a Tiny Box with Oval Window Scalloped Overlay. Since the tiny box is delicate I found it helpful to score the fold lines with a bone folder before assembly.

The chocolate egg sits on the top shelf next to Pink Rooster and Hen Figurines (I may have squealed out loud when I saw these), a Tiny Resin Bunny and a Pink Ceramic Teapot. In the rear you’ll find some of those poly clay cookies glued onto a 1 Inch Mini Grapevine Wreath because who doesn’t love a cookie wreath?! I couldn’t resist adding a sweet image from the Easter Parade Collage Sheet set behind an 18x13mm Glass Cab to the top of the hutch.

Atop the hutch sit some Pink Tulips in a Basket, along with a Tiny Resin Bunny Rabbit and a box of sweet treats I made using one of the new Skinny Chunky Crates.

The crate was painted pale pink and decorated with Pink Dresden, 4mm White Ric Rac Trim and a Tiny Resin Pastel Bow. Inside you’ll find a Pink Cupcake with Cherries, a Red Rosebud Cupcake, a Cupcake with Chocolate Frosting & Cherry, some Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, and a polymer clay cookie decorated with one of the Tiny Pink, White & Chocolate Bow Stickers. I made my own version of a Lindt chocolate bunny by gluing gold Metallic Foiled Origami Paper onto a Mini Chocolate Bunny Shape.
