We brought home a chick to teach our turkeys how to eat. That’s right, turkeys need someone to demonstrate how not to starve to death. We got a white crested black polish chick, like our Marsha. It already has the little top knot!

Thanks! It takes about 6 months to raise one for the table. I know you already raise chickens, would you consider getting a few turkeys for your holiday meals?

Although we have a couple of acres we’re pretty close to the neighbour folk. We’ve already got chickens, ducks and rabbits… we don’t want to push our luck. However, the husband had talked about getting some in the future because someone told him raised turkey is delish and he’s a sucker for food lol
