Missing Willow Farm

A few leftover oatmeal raisin cookies from the holidays went to the barn to see if anyone was interested.  Obviously, they were a huge hit with our goats.  Now I know what to get them for their birthdays.

We just started harvesting them.  This variety is called Mister Big and I highly recommend them to anyone inclined to grow their own.  So far, they’ve gone into a creamy pasta with peas.  Yum!

The greenhouse lit for watering before daybreak makes for an eerie scene.  It looks like a UFO has landed in our yard.

The broccoli in our greenhouse is starting to produce.  I have an awesome new cheese sauce recipe waiting for these to grow up.

We checked all of our sheep and goats this morning for intestinal parasites and gave them a CD/T vaccine.  Some were better behaved than others (Beatrice, I’m looking at you….).  Everyone survived the ordeal, us included.  Wrestling animals is real exercise.

She’s still cute as ever.  Happy New Year from Summer and all of us at Missing Willow Farm!

They are right where Jack wants them, and right where we asked him to put them.  Good boy!

Our goats find me fascinating.  Or maybe they want treats.  I’m going with fascinating.

It means run counterclockwise, and yes, Jack knows his right from his left.  He’s fast, like a marsupial, and loves to bring us our sheep.
