A few leftover oatmeal raisin cookies from the holidays went to the barn to see if anyone was interested. Obviously, they were a huge hit with our goats. Now I know what to get them for their birthdays.

Peas In January

We just started harvesting them. This variety is called Mister Big and I highly recommend them to anyone inclined to grow their own. So far, they’ve gone into a creamy pasta with peas. Yum!

Health Check Day

We checked all of our sheep and goats this morning for intestinal parasites and gave them a CD/T vaccine. Some were better behaved than others (Beatrice, I’m looking at you….). Everyone survived the ordeal, us included. Wrestling animals is real exercise.
